Campaigns & Events
The latest Conservative Party 'Ready for Change' video
A candidate is only as strong as his team and his supporters and so Nigel is building a campaign group for this general election of as many people as possible, of all ages and from all different backgrounds.
Nigel wants your contribution - in whatever form you can give it: time, insights, comments, attending social events, financial aid, or straightforward honest opinion.
If you can help in the upcoming general election please contact the office on 01582 729 511 or via admin@lutonconservatives.co.uk. We need help in many areas including:
delivering leaflets
canvassing - door to door and over the phone
admin in the office
handling the media and doing press releases
coordinating visits
There are also a whole range of social events to attend, including:
- 20th April 2010 - Lord Sheikh the chairman of the Conservative Muslim Forum at the Beech Hill Conservative Club in Bury Park.
Current hot topics and campaigns that Nigel is involved with, and where he would like to hear your opinion include:
- Promoting Luton as a place to live and work - and focus on attracting new businesses to Luton to create jobs
- The proposed threat to the Green Belt around Luton - and instead building houses where local people want and need them.
- Easing racial and ethnic tensions in Luton
- The secretive opening of bail hostels in family streets across Luton.
- The threatened closure of vital health facilities and consolidation of local doctor's surgeries into 'polyclinics' potentially several miles further away from your home.
- Potential flight path changes from Luton Airport.
We look forward to hearing from you. Welcome to the team!

Hosting House Meetings
Alternatively, perhaps you would be willing to host a neighbourhood get-together in your home so Nigel can meet you and your friends (whether Conservatives or not) and really understand the issues that concern you most.
Whatever role you can play, if you would like to be involved in Nigel's campaign in any way then email him at nigel.huddleston@gmail.com or contact the Luton Conservative Association Office on 01582 729511 or admin@lutonconservatives.co.uk.
