Nigel Huddleston

Campaigns & Events

The latest Conservative Party 'Ready for Change' video

A candidate is only as strong as his team and his supporters and so Nigel is building a campaign group of as many people as possible, of all ages and from all different backgrounds.

Nigel wants your contribution - in whatever form you can give it:  time, insights, comments, attending social events, financial aid, or straightforward honest opinion.

There are also a whole range of social events to attend, including:

  • 13th March 2010 - Presidents Dinner at the the Lansdowne Club - Luton with guet speaker Brooks Newmark MP. £35 per person including a three course meal.
  • 27th March - Gala Black Tie Dinner at the Walled Garden of the Luton Hoo Estate with guest speaker Lord Hurd.  £35 per person including a three course meal and just £10 per bottle of wine.

Both events can be booked online using a credit card or paypal by clicking here.  Or for the invitation leaflet  for the Gala Dinner click here.

Current hot topics and campaigns that Nigel is involved with, and where he would like to hear your opinion include:

  • Promoting Luton as a place to live and work - and focus on attracting new businesses to Luton to create jobs
  • The proposed threat to the Green Belt around Luton - and instead building houses where local people want and need them.
  • Easing racial and ethnic tensions in Luton
  • The secretive opening of bail hostels in family streets across Luton.
  • The threatened closure of vital health facilities and consolidation of local doctor's surgeries into 'polyclinics' potentially several miles further away from your home.
  • Potential flight path changes from Luton Airport.

There are lots of opportunities to get involved in canvassing or doorstep campaigning and there will be lots of campaigns and social events coming up in Luton.  Nigel will be running most campaigns together with Jeremy Brier (the Conservative Parliamentary Candiate for Luton North), and local Conservatives.

Hosting House Meetings
Alternatively, perhaps you would be willing to host a neighbourhood get-together in your home so Nigel can meet you and your friends (whether Conservatives or not) and really understand the issues that concern you most.

Whatever role you can play, if you would like to be involved in Nigel's campaign in any way then email him at nigel.huddleston@gmail.com or contact the Luton Conservative Association Office on 01582 729511 or admin@lutonconservatives.co.uk.
