Over the last week, several newspapers and tv programmes have run stories asking "where is Margaret Moran". For some time now I have been echoing the opinions of most Lutonians by expressing anger at her absence, and at how she continues to take a salary and accrue pension benefits while failing to do her job. She should stand down as an MP, force a by-election, and let someone else do the job properly.
Ms Moran has been absent for more than 4 months now, and I understand that she is currently off sick with an illness exaccerbated by the stress of the expense scandals. But there is an easy way to reduce that stress, Ms Moran - resign! In the interests of your own health, and in the best interests of your constituentse please do the decent thing and stand aside.
With so many issues going on in Luton: at IBC/ Vauxhall, with Easyjet, with racial tensions, we desperately need political leadership and instead we have a political vacuum and complete silence from our own MP.
