Luton Airport Noise Consultation Ends Soon
Thursday, January 14, 2010

A public consultation into London Luton Airport’s draft Noise Action Plan is due to end this week.  Members of the public are encouraged to register feedback before the 16 week consultation period closes on Sunday 17th January 2010.

The draft Noise Action Plan looks at issues surrounding aircraft noise and outlines what London Luton Airport proposes to do to further improve its approach to noise management.

This is a separate consultation to the one lat year relating to the proposed flight path changes by NATS, and is instead a pro-active approach to noise management.

London Luton Airport is seeking responses to a number of consultation questions about the draft Noise Action Plan.  Please do respond if you are impacted by airport noise or have an opinion on this matter.

Further information about the consultation process can be found at www.londonlutoninthecommunity.co.uk/environment/ where a copy of the draft Noise Action Plan is available for download.

Simon Earles, General Manager Corporate Social Responsibility said “London Luton Airport is proud of its noise management record, developed over many years with the support of the London Luton Airport Consultative Committee and local community representatives.  Our draft Noise Action Plan details how we intend to build on this good work and we encourage people to send us feedback before the consultation ends this weekend.”
