The Luton Herald & Post today published an article in which it highlighted the fact that all Bedfordshire seats may fall to the Conservatives at the upcoming general election according to the latest bookies odds.
Here in Luton the bookies odds seem to be a fair reflection of what we are hearing on the doorsteps - and that it will be a close but straight fight between the Conservatives (4/6) and Labour (9/4) with the Lib Dems (14/1), Independents (5/1 t0 100/1) and other candidates trailing behind.
The Bookies odds further reinforce one of my keycampaign messages: that this election is a pivotal one and that in Luton your vote really matters. You have a clear choice ahead of you: you can vote for this tired, discredited Labour Government or you can vote for change, vote Conservative and put David Cameron in Downing Street. A vote for any other party or candidate risks 5 more years of Gordon Brown.
