Housing provider Fortis Living was joined by myself and local residents to mark the completion of new homes in Droitwich on Friday.
The two and three bedroom properties have been developed on a redundant piece of land at the end of Vines Lane and are now fully occupied just a month after completion.
We live in an area of relatively high rents and high house prices so it is good to see housing associations like Fortis Living stepping up to the challenge of providing homes for local people which are affordable; continuing along this path will mean future generations will be able to finance a home.
Richard Grounds, Executive Director of Growth and Investment at Fortis Living commented, “These properties are a shining example of what we can achieve when making good use of small plots of land. Fortis Living is committed to building affordable homes for local people to buy and rent."
One of the new residents, mum of two Melissa Randle added, “It’s a lovely property and the neighbours are friendly. I feel very lucky to be able to live here.”
