It was good to visit the Avonvale River Action Group to meet Louise Bugg and the fantastic team of volunteers working to protect the health of the River Avon. 
I saw first hand how their regular water testing contributes to the national Water Quality Monitoring Network and raises local awareness, such an important step for improving water quality and supporting river life.
