The BBC is in a sorry mess, one of its own making, leading to the resignation of its Director General and Head of News. These departures reflect deeper issues of bias and accountability. We all want it to thrive and live up to its mission to inform, educate and entertain, but that requires genuine change, not just reshuffles at the top.
