It was great to meet with representatives from the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) in Parliament to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing pubs and brewers in Mid Worcestershire and across the country.

Our pubs are at the heart of local communities — places that bring people together, support jobs, and celebrate Britain’s proud brewing heritage. We discussed key issues ahead of the Budget, including business rates, VAT, beer duty, and employer National Insurance, and the need to make sure government policy supports, rather than hinders, this vital sector.

I’ll continue to stand up for our local pubs and breweries, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive for years to come.
