Evesham Regatta

I was delighted to attend this year’s Evesham Regatta and see the River Avon come alive.

More than 40 clubs from across the UK took part, with rowers aged from 12 to over 80 competing in two days of racing. It was goodto see so many people coming together, both on the water and along the riverbank to celebrate this much-loved local event.

I want to pay tribute to Evesham Rowing Club for their determination and hard work in overcoming the challenges posed by winter flooding and rising costs. Thanks to the support of local sponsors and volunteers, the event was a real success.

This regatta is a fantastic showcase of our local pride.
