It was a pleasure to speak at the Falkland Islands Government Annual Reception in parliament. I was proud to reaffirm the Conservative Party's unwavering support for the Falkland Islands and the right of Falkland Islanders to determine their own future. And it was wonderful to celebrate the Islands’ remarkable sporting culture — a testament to the dedication of athletes, volunteers, coaches and the whole community. I wish all Falkland Islands athletes and teams every success in the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and future competitions.
