I had a busy day travelling across the constituency for a range of meetings and activities.
My day started at the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Evesham, where I was greeted by plenty of waggy tails from dogs looking for new owners and met former rescue pup, Sylvester, who was hand-reared by centre manager Chris Slight. I liaise regularly with the Dogs Trust about a host of issues so I was pleased to catch up with the team and lend my support to the work they are doing locally. I last visited before the rebuild had been completed so it was fantastic to see the centre in all its glory and chat to the staff who work so tirelessly to ensure that all of the dogs in their care are well looked after.
I then went to the patient participation group in Droitwich Spa, where we discussed health issues and policy. Next it was off to Sytchampton Primary School, where I had the pleasure of attending their Celebration Assembly.
I spent much of the afternoon holding a surgery in Droitwich before finally popping down to Vines Park next to the canal to see the preparations for St Richard’s Festival which I’m looking forward to seeing in full swing over the weekend.
