A huge thankyou to everyone who came along to the Jobs Fair that myself and Pershore College organised today!
When I first mentioned wanting to do this event, Pershore College were incredibly enthusiastic and have been the driving force behind making today such a success.
We cannot ignore the fact that youth unemployment is on the rise, but there are still lots of amazing opportunities here in Worcestershire. We have huge players in industries such as technology and defence along with hospitality, tourism and leisure. Whatever it is you want to do, there are opportunities right here on our doorstep.
Thankyou to all the exhibitors for coming along we had around 50 businesses, education providers and volunteer groups on hand to speak to the many students and young people that visited the college today.
I hope this is the first of many and look forward to continuing working with local partners to provide employment and training opportunities to those in this constituency and across the country. Pershore college really is a jewel in the crown of Worcestershire when it comes to education and for those looking to go to college I would recommend taking a look around their excellent facilities.
