It was my pleasure to attend the #LoveEvesham event on Saturday. The event was organised by Evesham Town Council to mark the third birthday of the Evesham Town Plan.
Evesham Market Place was filled with stalls manned by community groups and activists sharing the various successes that have resulted from the plan, as well as what is in the pipeline. The event also had lots of attractions for children, making it a great family day out in the sun. There was a fantastic turnout overall and I was pleased to see so many local residents come together to celebrate the town.
Saturday was a busy day in Evesham as the annual pancake morning at Evesham Baptist Church also took place. The event had been delayed due to the adverse weather we’d seen in Worcestershire last month and I’m pleased I was able to attend the rescheduled breakfast as not only did I get to eat some delicious pancakes, but I also had some interesting discussions about Fair Trade and how it may be impacted by Brexit.
