Nigel Huddleston MP has met with representatives from West Mercia Police to raise concerns brought to him by residents across his constituency.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss local policing priorities, the importance of visible neighbourhood policing and the need for residents to feel confident that concerns reported to the police are taken seriously.

Nigel also raised the impact that crime and anti-social behaviour can have on individuals, businesses and wider communities, particularly when problems continue over a prolonged period.

Following the meeting, Nigel said:

“It was useful to meet with West Mercia Police and raise a number of concerns that residents have brought directly to me.

“People rightly expect to feel safe in their homes and communities, and they want to know that when an issue is reported, it will be properly considered and acted upon where appropriate.

“Visible local policing is incredibly important. It helps deter crime, reassures residents and allows officers to build strong relationships with the communities they serve.

“I am grateful to the officers for taking the time to discuss these matters with me and for the work they do across our area.

“I will continue working with West Mercia Police, local councils and residents to ensure that local concerns are heard and that communities receive the support they need.”
