Heating oil customers are being ripped off.
I’ve heard from a number of constituents who are deeply concerned about soaring heating oil prices. Some families are having existing orders rebooked at twice the price and facing bills of hundreds of pounds just to keep their homes warm.
That’s why I’ve joined Kemi Badenoch, Claire Coutinho and Victoria Atkins, along with more than 50 Conservative MPs, in writing to the Competition and Markets Authority urging them to launch an urgent investigation. Consumers must be protected and there must be proper competition in the market.
