I was delighted to join Harriet Baldwin MP, Lord and Lady Flight and many others at the opening of the RAF Defford Museum at Croome Court last weekend. Several airmen who fought in the second world war were in attendance and they told some fascinating stories about the time the base was operational.
The Museum is in restored wartime buildings near the main entrance and is well worth a visit. Lord and Lady flight played a pivotal role in raising more than £400,000 in much needed funds for the restoration effort and museum development.
