I had a fantastic visit to Cheshire with @AphraBrandreth, celebrating the region’s incredible cultural, tourism and heritage sectors.
We began at Chester Zoo, the most visited attraction outside London where we met the team, heard about their vital conservation work, and even had the unforgettable experience of feeding Dalma the giraffe. The Zoo’s new safari lodges at The Reserve are helping to attract even more visitors and deliver a truly world-class experience.
We then visited Bewilderwood Cheshire, a brilliant example of how creative and family-focused attractions are thriving, before joining local business leaders for a roundtable at the beautiful Cholmondeley Castle.
It’s clear that Cheshire’s visitor economy - now worth £3.9 billion continues to go from strength to strength thanks to the innovation, dedication and passion of local businesses and organisations working across the sector.
