Nigel

I am very disappointed by the decision to close Evesham College at the end of this academic year. I know this will be a worrying time for students, parents, staff, and the wider community, many of whom have contacted me to share their thoughts and concerns.

My priority now is to ensure that all arrangements are put in place to facilitate a smooth transition for everyone affected, with clear support students’ education and staff employment.  This must include clarity on the courses being offered at the Pershore site and what logistical arrangements will be in place to assist with transport.

Throughout the consultation period I have shared the views of my constituents to the leadership at Warwickshire College Group. Now that the decision has been confirmed I will continue to work closely with the college leadership to monitor the situation and represent the concerns of all those involved.
