Following the announcement of new tariffs by the USA, I’ve been engaging with businesses across Worcestershire about the potential impacts on international trade and the global economy.
As a former International Trade minister I am well aware how complex global supply chains can be.
Many local companies export to or are deeply connected to international markets, and there is understandable concern about the shift towards protectionism and higher tariffs.
