I really enjoyed visiting the Dogs Trust in Evesham today and meeting the manager Chris Slight and his team - and, of course, the dogs including Sue (in pic with me), Seamus - the sponsored dog (with Kath) and all her canine friends. The Evesham centre is undergoing a dramatic transformation at the moment and I was impressed by the plans for the new facilities currently being built. The Dogs Trust not only provides re-housing for dogs needing a new home but is also investing substantial sums to provide free micro-chipping for dogs and it is campaigning on many other important issues that affect the lives of dogs and their owners such as: puppy smuggling, irresponsible breeding and online advertising of pets. While undergoing redevelopment, the Evesham centre is still open and pictures and bios of all available dogs can be found on the Evesham Dogs Trust website in the this link.
