I was delighted to visit St Richard's Hospice in Worcester last week. This Hispice's purpse is to enhance through Palliative Care the quality of life of those sufferings from cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
I was very impressed by the facilities and ever more by the incredible, dedicated, and professional staff whether on the healthcare or administrative and fundraising side of operations.
The Hospice does and incredible amount on site and in the community with a relatively small amount of funding. It is an independent Hospice, so relies mainly on voluntary funding (just 25% comes via the NHS) and a lot of the income comes from the Hospice shops which can be found across Worcestershire - and on Ebay.
They are always in need of helpers, volunteers and donors, so if you would like to help in any way, please visit the site here.
