This morning I was pleased to join local environmental campaigner David Train as well as parents, governors and children at Fladbury First School and raise two flags to help increase awareness about climate change.

Supporting the Alzheimer's Society #FixDementiaCare campaign

Earlier this week I attended the Alzheimer's Society event at Parliament to talk to dementia suffers about how it impacts their lives.

Progress is certainly being made but I know there's more we can do, so I'm proud to support their campaign to #FixDementiaCare.

On Friday I had the privilege of giving a speech to over 100 pupils at Prince Henry's High School and their parents/carers at their annual Speech Day awards ceremony, before presenting prizes to the top achievers of the year.

Celebrating US-UK Relations on Independence Day

Today I asked the Culture Secretary, Jeremy Wright QC, to join me in celebrating the US-UK relationship, on the day which marks 243 years since the US became an independent nation. Both of us have American spouses, so there was nothing but celebration and jubilation in the Chamber today.
