Busy weekend in the constituency

I had a busy weekend around the constituency. After joining the Tesco Food Collection on Friday, I met students and teachers at St Andrew's School in Evesham.

Between Thursday and Saturday, Tesco held their annual food collection in partnership with The Trussell Trust and FareShare.

Stalking Protection Bill

On Friday 23rd November the Stalking Protection Bill cleared the final two hurdles in the House of Commons – the Report Stage and Third Reading – and I spoke during both debates in support of the Bill’s passage.

Speech on fairer parking

I was in the House of Commons on Friday 23rd November to speak in a debate on the Parking (Code of Practice) Bill, which was in its final stages in the Commons before being passed for consideration to the House of Lords.

Meeting with Fred Sirieix & the Justice Secretary

Together with celebrity maitre d’ Fred Sirieix, I met with the Justice Secretary David Gauke on Monday 19th November to discuss what steps the Government can take to improve the employment prospects of those currently incarcerated in UK prisons.

New businesses at Blackminster Business Park

On Friday 16th November I had the pleasure of opening not just one, but three businesses at Blackminster Business Park -  Fast Tracks cafe, FibreHut and Pits, Pots and Patios. 

Visit to Prince Henry's High School

I had a very enjoyable and productive visit to Prince Henry's High School on Friday to talk about school funding. I also held a Q&A session with sixth form students on a range of issues including local roads, votes for under 18s and, of course, Brexit. 

The Armistice Centenary

The 11th November 2018 marked 100 years since the cessation of the First World War. At 11am, the time that the guns finally fell silent in 1918, people across the UK also fell silent for two minutes of quiet reflection and remembrance.
