Discount card to help jobseekers into work

I am supporting the efforts of a Rail Delivery Group initiative on behalf of Britain’s train companies to raise awareness about a travel discount card that helps lower the cost of finding work.

A46 Evesham Bypass improvement works

As many constituents may now be aware, Highways England is currently carrying out some improvement works on the A46 carriageway.

Worcs LEP successful in bid for 5G Testbed

I am delighted that the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has been successful in its bid for £4.8 million of Government funding to test and develop 5G technology.

New Community Bus service in Droitwich

I have received a lot of correspondence from constituents in recent months about the withdrawal of the 17 bus service in Droitwich. The bus service had been withdrawn due to very low passenger numbers which meant the cost of continuing to run it could not be justified. 

Visit to Falkland Islands

Last week I visited the Falkland Islands with the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme (AFPS).

Worcestershire's new Local Funding Settlement

On Wednesday 7th February, Parliament approved a new funding settlement for English local authorities that well see a real terms increase in funding over the next two years, giving them access to £200 billion from 2015 to 2020.

Migloo event

On Friday 26 January I attended the Migloo event at Wychavon Civic Centre.

The Migloo is a unique set of portable changing suites for people with profound and multiple disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, that makes it difficult for them to use traditional disabled toilets.

Highways England M5 drop-in session
