Visit to Droitwich Spa Hospital

It was great to visit the BMI Droitwich Spa Hospital and have a good talk with the Executive Director, Rick Sanders.

I know the Hospital is vital for local residents in Droitwich and the dedicated staff helped bolster local NHS provision throughout the crisis.

I had a call today with Worcestershire County Council leaders and the Director of Public Health for Worcestershire, Kathryn Cobain, along with other Worcestershire MPs to get an update on the Coronavirus situation in Worcestershire and in particular with the recent outbreak near Evesham.

Outbreak at Evesham food packaging site

14 people have tested positive at an Evesham food packing firm and all workers at the site are now being tested as a precautionary measure.

Public Health England and Worcestershire County Council are working with the company involved and monitoring the situation closely.

Weekend in Lincoln

Last weekend, it was great to visit my home town of Lincoln and spend time at Lincoln City FC, the Cathedral and Castle - and hold discussions with local business, arts & council leaders.
