The Prime Minister Boris Johnson has just announced a major ramping up of Coronavirus measures. Including:

Summary of latest government announcements

Restaurants, bars, leisure centres, cinemas, gyms have been asked to close.

Avoid unnecessary travel and - where possible - work from and stay at home.

Government will help to support people’s wages.

The Government announced that after schools shut their gates from Friday afternoon, they will remain closed for most pupils – for the vast majority of pupils- until further notice.
