Statement on Boris Johnson's Election as Leader of the Conservative Party

After seven weeks of campaigning across the country, Boris Johnson has been elected as the new leader of the Conservative Party and, subsequently, our Prime Minister. I warmly welcome Mr Johnson to his new role and wish him well for the months ahead, as we prepare to leave the European Union.

Last week in Parliament I attended the Disability Benefits Consortium’s (DBC) report launch where, in conjunction with over 80 charities, they provided recommendations of how Government could improve the support available for disabled people in receipt of welfare.

Question on Society and National Lotteries

Each and every week many Mid Worcestershire residents, and many other all over the country, participate in society lotteries as well as the National Lottery. Both of these contribute to good causes across the Worcestershire region.

Visit to Gloverspiece Minifarm School

On Friday afternoon I had the please of visiting Gloverspiece Minifarm School near Droitwich Spa, where I joined pupils and parents for the end of year celebrations. It was a wonderful occasion enjoyed by all.
