I recently had the pleasure of meeting representatives from West Mercia Police and Neighbourhood Watch West Mercia to endorse Neighbourhood Matters.

The Economy Grew at 0.6% in the First Quarter of 2024

UK GDP grew 0.6% in Q1 2024, considerably more than the 0.4% expected by the Office for National Statistics. We've grown faster than France, Germany, Italy & the USA over the last quarter, and in the last week leading firms have invested over £2bn in the UK.

Attending the Droitwich Community Showcase Event

I was pleased to drop by the Droitwich Community Showcase event at the Baptist Church in Droitwich yesterday.

It was wonderful to see such a diverse and large number of charities and community organisations showcasing what they do.

Visiting Norton-Juxta-Kempsey Primary School

I was delighted to visit Norton-Juxta-Kempsey Primary School to officially open their refurbished library and to see their new sensory garden.

I met headteacher Julia Dean , Deputy Sarah Marshall, many staff, parents, governors and volunteers - as well, of course as the students.

Spending Time With Evesham Rowing Club

The river level may have been too high to allow the planned rowing Regatta to take place today but that did not stop the Evesham Rowing Club from putting on a great event this today - complete with BBQ and cakes.

The asparagus was a bit too big for the BBQ though!

Spending Time at the St Richard's Canal Festival

I had a great time at the St Richard's Canal Festival where it was pleasing to see so many brilliant local stalls and volunteers.

Visiting Ombersley Golf Club

Always a pleasure to visit the beautiful Ombersley Golf Club and catch up with Nigel Dowty.

We discussed some of the latest trends in golf and I saw first hand the extensive and impressive refurbishment work that is taking place at the club house.

A Year On From the King's Coronation

It is a year since the Coronation.

Shortly before the Coronation, the King and Queen held a reception in the historic Westminster Hall in the Palace of Westminster.

Cropthorne Walkabout

It was great to spend time over the weekend at the Cropthorne Walkabout. It was wonderful to spend time in Cropthorne and to see the beauty of the local area.

Thanks to the local team for organising such an enjoyable event, I look forward to returning next year!
