Have your say on how new 'Dormant Assets' money should be spent!

My Department, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, have recently launched a 12-week consultation regarding the future of dormant assets funding in England.

Since 2011, the Dormant Assets Scheme has unlocked £892 million of dormant financial assets for social and environmental causes across the UK. The Dormant Assets Act 2022 expanded the Scheme, bringing billions of pounds of additional dormant assets into scope. Estimates suggest that this will unlock approximately £880 million more for good causes across the UK, with 83.9% of funds allocated to the English portion. For more information, please see here.

This is a fantastic opportunity to ensure that local voices help to shape the direction of the Dormant Assets Scheme in England over the years to come. .

Have your say by contributing to the consultation here.
