On Friday 8th March 2024, the third annual #LetGirlsPlay Biggest Ever Football Session will be taking place in schools across Mid Worcestershire. The event sets out to get as many girls as possible playing football at the same time across the country.
In 2020, The FA set an ambitious target for 75% of schools to deliver equal access to football in PE lessons by 2024. I am delighted their target has been met one year ahead of schedule.
Getting more girls into football is an important step for making the game as diverse and fair as possible. I encourage all schools across my Mid Worcestershire constituency to take part, and thank those who have already organised activities on the day.
