The Community Ownership Fund is a £150 million fund over 4 years to support community groups across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland to take ownership of assets which are at risk of being lost to the community.

It forms part of a substantial package of UK wide levelling-up interventions, building opportunity and empowering communities to improve their local places.

In Round 3 Window 1, the Fund awarded funding to 45 projects, totalling £12.3 million. This additional funding takes the programme’s funding total to £49.3 million for 195 projects as of the 25th September 2023.

Entries for Round 3 Window 3 close on the 11th January, and will commence for Round 4 in late February 2024.

Nigel Huddleston MP said:

"The Community Ownership Fund is a great opportunity for local projects and businesses in my Mid Worcestershire constituency to receive support. This funding allows for these community assets to be saved, and ensure they can run sustainably in the long term.

This initiative reflects the Government's commitment to Levelling Up, ensuring that the potential of every place and person in the UK is realised.

I strongly encourage interested parties to check their eligibility and put forward their applications."
