I was delighted to visit Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire to play a game of walking football today as part of loneliness awareness week.
It's very important that older people are able to do what they love, can keep active and have dedicated places to socialise. Walking football is great for the mind as well as the body, and is a sociable sport - giving everyone involved the chance to make new friends and enjoy being part of a team.
Local sessions are being held at the King George V Playing Field, in Worcester, every Friday (starting 9th July) from 11am-12:30pm.
The first session is FREE and £4 per session thereafter.
