I joined in the fun in Droitwich Spa yesterday as the town celebrated the 800th anniversary of its Royal Charter - and a music and cider festival too.
The turnout to the events was amazing. I arrived mid afternoon after first attending the 750th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of Evesham in the morning, and the party was by then in full swing - especially near the beer/ cider tent complete with a series of bands and singers to entertain us all. It looked as if the whole town had turned out to enjoy the festivities.
