I welcome the news that the National Lottery has granted funds to projects in Worcestershire.
Throughout September, the Big Lottery Fund has provided £49,385 of funding to five projects in the constituency. The beneficiaries are the Friends of St Barnabas School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Crowle CE First School, Green Door and Claines Church of England Primary School. The funds will be used on projects ranging from health camps and portable exercise resources and hosting engagement activities for people experiencing the effects of substance misuse and addiction.
I am delighted that these local projects have received National Lottery funding. I know how hard the National Lottery works to ensure that its money reaches the people and organisations it believes can make a real difference and the number of successful bids from Mid Worcestershire are a testament to how active and community-minded its residents are. The projects funded by this investment will make a real difference to Worcestershire residents and I re-iterate my previous call for any local groups or individuals with ideas to make life better for the community to apply for lottery funding.
